POLICE in Taunton are appealing for information after a 70-year-old woman was duped by three bogus carpet fitters.
The victim was approached by the men offering to sell her carpets between 2pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday.
She agreed to see the carpets and was offered a deal where her carpets could be bought and fitted for £750, which she paid.
The men said they would meet her back at her home later that afternoon. They returned and dropped off a roll of carpet before saying they had to leave for a short time, but have not been seen since.
