THE battle to provide a new clubhouse for Helston Rugby Club looks finally to be over with contracts expected to be exchanged at the beginning of next week.
Although the club itself is remaining tight-lipped until everything is signed, sealed and delivered there is not expected to be any last minute hitches before the contracts are exchanged.
The signing will mark the end of a seven-year battle to improve sub-standard facilities at Helston Rugby Club with work on a new £250,000 clubhouse now expected to start in the near future.
The new clubhouse will replace the dilapidated corrugated iron shack currently used by the players who play in league division two. The club also supports a strong minis and juniors section. Although the facility will be for the rugby club it will also be open for community use.
