SOUTH Somerset District Council is arranging for a new Portuguese link worker to come to Chard.
The council says funds are available and it is in discussions with Oscar Mayer about a possible contribution from the Chard firm towards the cost of the worker.
Chard's previous link worker, Maria Daci, returned to her native Portugal in May for personal reasons.
