A Chard worker has been praised for giving up her time to help transform a town eyesore into a floral delight.
For the last five years, Somerfield worker Jenny Bruton has strived to improve the state of a large flower bed behind the supermarket.
When Jenny first started working there, the flower bed was littered with brambles and stinging nettles.
Her efforts, which have included taking out time from her lunch breaks, have resulted in a startling transformation, and will boost Chard's hopes in this year's Britain in Bloom competition, for which judging takes place next month.
