The clich "All roads lead to Falmouth on Sunday" is more than applicable for local cricket followers as Cornwall and Devon clash in a mouth watering, cross Tamar MCCA Trophy tie.

The winner will enjoy home advantage in a quarter -final against Cumberland or Oxfordshire, and will be just two steps away from a Lord's final. Cornwall have never reached the semi-finals.

The Cornwall team includes Ryan Driver and a return for Justin Stephens who missed the whole of last season. Driver, Cornwall's player of the season last year, is living and working in the Channel Islands but will be returning to play club and county cricket when possible.

His inclusion could form one of the most formidable batting line ups Cornwall have put together in years. Penberthy, Driver, Carl Gazzard and David Roberts have all played first class cricket.

Stephens, one of the select band of Cornish bowlers with over a 100 championship wickets to his name, makes a welcome return. He can be classed as a genuine all rounder.

Mark George, who has been in fine form with bat and ball this season keeps his one-day place. The side is completed with all rounders Chris Hunkin, Martin Pearce and Alex Tunnadine.

The match at Falmouth starts on Sunday at 12noon.
