The St Julia's Hospice charity Stableford weekend at Praa Sands Golf Club, with prizes sponsored by club captain Francis Vickerstaffe, raised a total of £225.

Di Lyons won the ladies' gold medal on Saturday with a fabulous 42 points - 10 ahead of Caroline Worrell who took the silver medal. Sarah Blight took the bronze medal with 30 points. William Giddings took the men's gold medal on Sunday with 38 points while Ray Pearce took the silver medal with 36 points and Charlie May the bronze with 35.

Ann Seabrook, Chris Sparks and Tony Hosking won this week (three-a-side) Friday's "fun golf" with 67 points. Jess Willard, Joe Hill and Lester Pickhaver were second on 64 with Colin Cratchley, Roy Hillyar and Mike Hichens third with 60.

Connie May won the ladies' Wednesday Stableford with an excellent 21 points, three shots ahead of runner-up Anna Harry. Norma May took third place while Connie May won the putting.

The "fun night" competitions continue on Friday evening. The ladies play for the Trethewey Putter on Saturday and Sunday will see the men's four ball better ball open take place. If you wish to make a late entry call the club on 01736 763445.
