LOCAL clubs were amongst the prize-winners at the Carlsberg SWL's annual dinner at the White Hart Hotel, Launceston, on Friday evening.
It was no surprise that St Blazey were the club who received the largest payout. They won the league and cup double and with it cheques for £3,000 and £1,260 respectively. League runners-up Bodmin Town received £1,500 and cup runners-up Liskeard Athletic £750.
Falmouth Town won £550 for finishing fourth in the league and they also picked up £300 in vouchers for finishing runners-up in the Fair Play Award.
Penryn Athletic won £225 in vouchers for sharing third place in the same competition and won another £200 for being voted the best ground, an award they've won every season since re-entering the league.
Truro City won £250 for finishing sixth in the league and another £300 for their semi-final appearance in the cup.
Emerging as the top-marked referee in the league was Falmouth's Mark Philpott who has also been promoted to the Screwfix Direct Western League.
There was also a surprise presentation to popular league president and Cornwall County FA vice-chairman Mr Tristan Scott who was presented with a gift on behalf of the league by treasurer Mr Mike Wilson.
