THE new boat at Flushing and Mylor pilot gig club is proving a huge attraction with 98 people are now using Pinnacle every week

Fourteen crews are now timetabled to row each week and they include beginners, juniors, ladies, mens and veterans . . . an amazing achievement in such a short time.

However, this means Pinnacle is on the water four days a week (five if the club races at the weekends) and subject to usual maritime wear and tear.

Many club members are in agreement that a second boat is needed. This will enable crews to race against each other on practice nights and also allow more leisurely jaunts for those not wanting to race, to row out and about on Carrick Roads.

On discussion with Andrew Nancarrow (who built Pinnacle), he is able to start a new build in November and will ensure Pinnacle 2 would be available for the World Championships on the Isles of Scilly in May 2006.
