UNBEATEN Hayle with their fourth outright win head challengers Paul by a point. Winning at St Austell in a keen tussle, Hayle picked up 20 points from their 63 run victory.
The run makers were the Jenkin brothers, the man for all seasons - Paul Lello - plus Greg Mungles, scored 234 runs between them.
Newcomer Hank DeVillers took three wickets and Dave Dunnett two for the home side. Lee Caddy also took two wickets whilst Martin Jenkin returned 12-1-37-4, good bowling indeed!
Hank DeVillers with 13 fours in his 85 held the Wadebridge innings together after the openers Kent and Chapman had been sent back by Caddy and Smitherham.
Wayne Jenkin had figures of 10.3-0-25-2.
Caddy removed DeVillers with a fine return from the outfield to run out the key Wadebridge player, who had stroked 13 fours.
