Long known as a star in Cornwall the Bishop of Truro is set to prove his qualities nationally when a television series following his life airs next spring.
Bishop Bill Ind is currently being followed by television cameras as he carries out his daily duties for a fly on the wall documentary series, to be shown on BBC2.
Filming began two weeks ago by production company Tiger Aspect, who have been commissioned to make ten half-hour programmes on the life and work of a bishop in the Church of England.
They are the same people behind the hugely sucessful television series A Seaside Parish featuring the Rev Christine Musser, filmed in Boscastle, and before that A Country Parish.
Jeremy Dowling, the Bishop's communications officer, said: "He's enjoying it very much. He just does what he'd do anyway. They have chosen Bishop Bill because they thought that he had a very good human touch."
Mr Dowling added: "The Bishop says it's not so much they are interested in him as a person but 'in all of the people who make up the life of the church in the county of Cornwall, for which I have some responsibility'."
