UNBEATEN Ilminster soared to the top of the WEPL Premier Two table with another solid victory over an impressive Thornbury side on Saturday.
Craig Rice's men have been in sparkling form so far this season and the skipper was particularly happy with Saturday's win over a very strong line-up.
"It was an excellent win - it's hard to say just how good it was because they're an excellent side," said the skipper.
"I would say they will definitely be up there at the end of the season so I was delighted with the result."
The home side were restricted to 179 all out with the wickets shared between Kieron Boucher (1-29 in 15 overs), Jon Dalwood (3-54), Steve Hurford (2-31) and Richard Elswood (2-29).
In reply, Boucher blasted 53 and was joined by Emlyn Kuhn (47) in a blistering partnership which quickly took the game away from their rivals.
Craig Rice (30no) and Jon Dalwood (24) then held it together at the end as Ilminster wrapped up a superb four-wicket victory.
