A GROUP of nature-lovers have slammed Sedgemoor District Council over what they call the "extremely inappropriate" timing of work in Apex Park.
Distraught Heather Howard from Highbridge spotted a huge builldozer descending on the picturesque site to remove reeds from the banks of the lake.
The 55-year-old explained tshe had seen wildlife currently living in the grasses and said she could not beleive that the council and been so insensitive to the flora and fauna of the area.
