BARRINGTON'S fortunes went from bad to worse on Saturday as they lost their basement battle against North Perrott.
With both teams searching for their first win, Barrington opted to bat first and made a solid start through skipper Shaun French (63) and Steve Redwood (47).
However, they failed to build on a promising start and closed on 190-9 - about 30 runs short of a testing total.
North Perrott stuttered in reply as Tom Elwin made two early breakthroughs but they settled down and eventually made it home with six wickets to spare.
