AN elderly resident of Ilminster with mobility problems has praised local authorities after they dropped curbs to allow her easier access into the town centre.
Mair Cox, president of the Ilminster Entertainment Society, has lived in her house ever since it was built over 50 years ago.
Had the changes not been made by the Highways Authority, Mrs Cox would have been forced to leave her home and move to another part of the town closer to the shops.
