THE family of a former Taunton deputy head teacher, who killed himself, have called for more research into the drugs he was taking when the tragedy took place.
A resumed inquest at Honiton into the death of former St Augustine of Canterbury Secondary School deputy head teacher Stephen Leggett, 53, concluded that he took his own life while the balance of his mind was disturbed.
His widow, Rosalind Leggett, and his two sons, Thom and Will, said later that the verdict from the coroner, Dr Elizabeth Earland, was what they expected.
But they said that in no way had it changed their fundamental belief that Mr Leggett's actions were not his own.
