WHEN Knights Templar First School, Watchet needed 800 gallons of water to fill a new pond, Williton's firefighters were naturally the chaps for the job.
The pond, which forms the centrepiece of an environmental studies area, is 200m away from the school buildings.
Teacher Judy Carslake said: "We got the pond liner in, but we couldn't possibly get all that water up the field, so we called on the firemen."
The garden has been funded with the help of parents and friends of the school, the Somerset Gardens Trust, and Exmoor Trust.
