Wellington town council has agreed to cover the cost of a reception event for civic visitors and guests from the 40th anniversary twinning visit from Lillebonne in July.
The day will begin at 9.45am on July 3 with a civic service at St John's Church, followed by a reception in the parish hall and a dinner and dance at Wellington Junior School at 6pm.
The money has been included in the council's budget for 2005/06.
