PLANS to replace Taunton's main swimming pools with a £7.3million leisure centre in the heart of the town are back on the agenda.
Councillors met last night (Thursday) to discuss the future of swimming, in relation to the Vision for Taunton.
And the likely outcome was a commitment to continue working towards the replacement of premises in St James Street and Station Road with a single pool.
The recommendations put before the council's health and leisure review panel follow a feasibility study commissioned last April.
