A CREECH St Michael businessman has put back his retirement in a bid to save the village post office.
Roger Fell offered to stay on as sub-postmaster after the transfer of the office to a neighbouring shop hit yet another snag.
Mr Fell hopes to pass the business he has run for 12 years from a garage forecourt to Kevin and Sandra Phillips at Central Stores, on the opposite side of the road.
The switch, originally due last October, has been delayed several times and there are fears the village could lose its post office altogether.
