The Plymouth Area Police Choir and Plymouth City Council have cancelled The Lord Mayor's Charity Concert in aid of the Tsunami Appeal, which was scheduled for Friday February 25.
The vast majority of charities involved in the Tsunami appeal have, over the past week or so, been announcing that they have far more money than they expected.
Some have been requesting authorisation to spend the money on other areas and regions of the world.
As a result, it has been decided that this concert will not attract sufficient support to make it viable. People who have purchased tickets will have their money returned.
