SOME 40 jobs are expected to be created when a new care facility opens in Minehead.
West Someset MP Ian Liddle-Grainger was due to cut the first sod today (Friday) at Eastleigh care home, Periton Road, Minehead, where construction of a new wing will provide accommodation for 57 elderly people.
The home expects to recruit care assistants, nurses and housekeeping staff.
