COLIN Cratchley and Roy Hillyar won the Daily Mail Foursomes qualifier at Praa Sands golf club on Sunday with a nett 65. The rounds were completed in a very strong wind.

The pair will go forward to represent the club in the competition.

Joe Hill and Jess Winnard were second with nett 67.5 with John and Paul Murrish third with nett 68.5. Mal Holland and Mark Prisk took fourth place on nett 69 while Derek Murrish and Andy Pengelly took fifth with nett 69.5 on the last nine from Steve Strick and Francis Vickerstaffe.

The ladies' greensome Stableford competition on Saturday, also played in windy conditions, was won by Ann Seabrook and Christine Sparks with 31 points.

Lou Archer and Helen Carson took second place on the last nine holes from Norma May and Connie May with both pairs returning 26 points.

Anna Harry won the ladies' Wednesday Stableford with 19 points well ahead of Hilda Tyack in second place with 15 points. Ann Seabrook took third place, on countback from Jackie Quick - both with 13 points while Norma May won the putting competition.
