JILL Simmons and Margaret Melton were the winners of last week's Winter League competition held at Mullion. Their return of 38 points was two better than second placed Beryl Sibley and Lydia Gilbert.
Mullion's juniors played a three ball team competition on the yellow ball format on Saturday. The clear winners with an excellent 88 points in gale force condititons were Ben Vleminckx, Ben Williams and Robert Hayes. Jamie Sanders, Jamie Whitford and Myles Summersall were second with 68 points edging out Leo Acklin, Jordon Antrobus and Rebecca Lawlor, on countback.
On Sunday, the men at Mullion played their annual Daily Mail Foursome Medal Competition. The winners, with a nett 75, were Nigel Hannaford and Damian Hallett. In second place was Robert Casley and Paul Greet with a nett 80 followed by Gerry Fitter and Ben Willey on nett 82.
