In the early 60s four teenagers formed a group destined to achieve top ten hits on both sides of the Atlantic, sell millions of records and carve a niche in the history of pop music. The Zombies struck gold with their debut single She's Not There and the voice of Colin Blunstone, coupled with Rod Argent's keyboard style and his brilliantly penned songs, immediately gave the band an unmistakable style and musical identity. Further hits came along with two successful albums, proving the extent of the band's exceptional talents. When The Zombies eventually split, Colin and Rod moved in different directions, Colin into the world of pop and Rod into the world of progressive rock. Their time apart was spent on successful individual careers with massive album and singles sales on both sides of the Atlantic. In the late 90s Rod was enticed back on stage for a Zombies reunion to help promote the release of the four CD box set, Zombie Heaven, which led to a few shows, which led to a major UK tour. A highly acclaimed CD entitled Out Of The Shadows was recorded in 2002 and the band begins 2005 with a UK tour to promote their latest live CD and DVD. The group is stopping off in Falmouth at the Princess Pavilion on Thursday, February 24; expect the hits of the Zombies - She's Not There, Time Of The Season, Colin's solo hits; Say You Don't Mind, Caroline Goodbye, and the best of Argent, Hold Your Head Up and God Gave Rock And Roll To You, amongst a host of other well known and much loved songs drawn from the careers of these two great talents - and some fantastic material from their latest releases. Tickets are £14 in advance and £15.50 on the door.
