THERE was no shortage of goals in the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League division one with all the leading sides doing well.

Leaders St Day were 3-0 winners against Stithians after scoring through Tom Rosenfeld, Perran Cook and Stuart Reynolds and a hat-trick from Steve Brewer helped Penryn Athletic to a 5-1 win against St Agnes. Jacob Johnson and Malcolm Moyle had the other goals.

Three goals in the final 15 minutes paved the way for Chacewater's 4-2 victory at Mawnan. Mike Elliott (2, 1 pen), Spencer Knibb and an own goal were Chacewater's scorers and Chris Pellow and Gregg Renfree (pen) had the home team's goals.

Rob Eddy had a terrific day for Helston after scoring all four goals in his side's 4-0 win over Mousehole.

Justin Searle (2), Greg Hobbs and Daniel Munday scored for Wendron in their 4-3 win over Marazion.

St Keverne were unable to raise a side to visit Perranporth.

In division two the top of the table clash between Holmans Res and Penryn Athletic IV ended in a 2-2 draw with Ian Stevens and Tarik Kolkan scoring for the home side.

Falmouth Albion maintained their impressive run with a narrow 1-0 win at Cury, but rivals Lizard Argyle were also in form and chalked up a 6-2 win at Helston III.

Giles Lawrence scored both goals for Rosudgeon/Kenneggy to lead 2-0 at home to Mawnan Res, but it wasn't enough as Mawnan hit back to win 3-2 with goals from Andy Winnan, Mark Stevens, and Tom Hillier.

Pendeen won 3-0 at Hayle III.

In division three a brace of goals each from Craig Moyle, Richard Dower, and Terry Dyer plus one from Matt Mitchell paved the way for Carharrack's 7-1 win over Hayle IV.

Mawgan United were held to a surprising 1-1 draw at Lizard Argyle Res where Simon Browning scored for the home side.

Truro City maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Wendron III. Andy Dyer (2) and Liam Street scored their goals.
