GOONHAVERN 5 FALMOUTH TOWN 0
THE wheels came off in spectacular fashion for Falmouth Town after they were beaten 5-0 by Jolly's Combination League title rivals Goonhavern.
This latest defeat leaves Town's hopes in tatters and their only way back is a big slump in form not only by Goonhavern but several other challengers.
It wasn't until midway through the first half that Goonhavern took the lead when Alex Arquati scored.
Before the break Goonhavern extended their lead when Arquati again found space to pierce the Town defence to score.
The second half saw the home side take the game by the scruff of the neck and pen Town in their own half, but their third goal had a stroke of good fortune about it when Ian Walker's free kick was deflected into his own net by Justin Miles.
There was no get out of jail card for Town on this occasion with striker Steve Capeling adding another couple of goals to add to the visitors' miserable day.
Town: R Brokenshire, C Earl, N Seviour, R Full, S Opie, J Miles, D Gillett, B Bryant, G Harris, D Stevens, and A Westgarth. Subs not used.
