THE Falmouth Spring Flower Show takes place on March 19 and 20 and hopes are high that the entries will be up and more people than ever will take part.

The venue for this year's event is the Princess Pavilion with the much-sought-after prizes being presented to the winners on the second day.

The show will also include the Southwest Daffodil Championship for the Prince of Wales Challenge Cup and growers are hoping their blooms will be in top-top condition despite the early spring.

Organisers are hoping that residents in and around Falmouth will not be too shy and keen to enter and emphasise that the popular show is for all garden enthusiasts whether they are keen gardeners or not.

There are hundreds of classes and something for everyone from pot plant cacti and succulents, orchids or bonsai to shrubs, and other species.

There are also classes for senior citizens, children, those keen on photography and floral arts.

Thirty-two cups and trophies will be up for grabs and entry forms are now available from the Princess Pavilion and from various shops in the town.
