AN entire night in early January at Gyllingvase Beach Caf, Falmouth, was dedicated to raising money for tsunami victims and a total of £500 was raised.
Part owner of the Beach Caf Simon Daw said that he was "glad to be able to do something".
The Barnaby Ray Quartet provided entertainment free of charge and the staff also took no payment.
With the money raised it was decided to buy a shelterbox that provides everything necessary for 10 people to survive in comparative comfort.
Mr Daw believes that the box has been sent to Indonesia and will be well received.
