ANTHONY Armstrong, 68, from Redruth, Cornwall, has been found dead at Exeter jail. He had just begun an eight-year sentence for raping a girl in Mevagissey, in the 1990s.
He was found slumped unconscious in his cell at Exeter Prison on Sunday and died in hospital.
An inquiry is under way by the Prison Service. A post mortem has confirmed that Armstrong died from natural causes.
