CHILDREN from five primary schools battled it out at the first cricket tournament held at the Princess Royal Sports Complex at Wellington School last week.
The event, backed by Wellington Motors, saw more than 60 children from Wellesley Park, Stawley Primary, Hemyock Primary, St Johns Primary and Wellington School compete to be crowned champions of the competition, which took place on Monday, December 6.
Wellington School was eventually announced as the winner with Stawley School coming a close second.
All the children who took part in the competition are pictured with professional cricket coach and Wellington lad Russell Jones, who organised the event.
