TODAY the Weekly News kicks off a campaign to restore pride in Burnham and Highbridge and make sure future generations can enjoy the towns they live in.
We want to secure respect for both towns and again have them put firmly on the map in the Britain in Bloom competition next year.
A perceived apathy to the competition in 2004 meant Burnham and Highbridge were not entered and Dave Perrett, the Burnham In Bloom committee chairman, called time on the contest. But now Dave has found a new resolve and is determined history should not be repeated in 2005 - and the Weekly News is backing him all the way in his efforts to keep Burnham Blooming.
