HUNDREDS of people from all over the Falmouth area left their dignity behind on Friday to raise money for Children in Need with a little help from Pudsey Bear.

The national event saw a wide range of outrageous costumes worn by pupils at schools and people at work to help needy children from all over the world.

While there were no people sitting in baths full of baked beans there were exercise marathons, fairies selling cakes, multicoloured wigs and plenty of bucket collections going round.

Pudsey Bear, alias Maria Grimshaw from Asda, carried out a marathon tour of the schools in the area much to the delight of the pupils many of whom posed to have their picture taken with the famous bear.
