DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Budock parish councillor Peter Solheim have searched two beaches for evidence to try and find out where he was killed.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police have searched two new locations - Long Beach, at St Mawes, and Porthoustock, near St Keverne, looking for evidence in connection with the case.
Det Insp Neal Best who is leading the investigation said: "We have searched a number of new locations which we now believe may be connected with an attack on Mr Solheim and his removal by boat to sea."
The officer said his team was still investigating how Mr Solheim was taken to sea and from where. He issued an appeal for anybody who may have seen Mr Solheim's boat the Izzwizz at Mylor Yacht Harbour or around the Falmouth coast on the afternoon or evening June 16 to come forward.
The last reported siting was of Mr Solheim's boat was at Mylor Yacht Harbour on June 17.
The body of Mr Solheim, 56, from Carnkie, near Wendron, was recovered by a fishing boat five miles off Black Head, near Falmouth, on June 18 and landed at Falmouth Docks. A murder inquiry was launched soon afterwards.

A 56-year-old woman from the Lizard was arrested on July 21 in connection with the murder of Mr Solheim and is currently on police bail.
