A Bridgwater councillor could be in for a bumpy ride with his political party and constituents - after he was charged over an alleged 'road rage' incident.
Cllr David Preece, Conservative member for the Bower Ward, pleaded not guilty on Thursday at Sedgemoor Magistrates' Court in Bridgwater to charges of dangerous driving and threatening behaviour.
The 51-year-old, who was elected as a councillor in May 2003, is said to have been driving his Land Rover along North Street on Sunday, May 9, at 2pm when it is alleged he became involved in a confrontation with a woman driver.
