PROPOSALS to create a motorbike track near Wellington Sports Centre are still under discussion by Taunton Deane Council.
The proposal, which initially came from two Wellington parents who want their children to learn to ride a motorbike in a safe environment, was backed by the town council and put to Taunton Deane.
They want an area set aside near the sports centre for supervised riding sessions of bike no more than 85cc.
The proposal came up at a meeting of the Health and Leisure Review Panel meeting on Tuesday evening.
A spokesman for the council said: "The plans for the motorbike area were presented to the committee on Tuesday night and there will now be further investigation into it. It is likely to be a couple of months before any decision is made."
