MAY I offer a little good PR on behalf of the beleagured fox?
I kept chickens on my seven-acre property on the edge of the Somerset Levels, and was shocked one morning to find a fox had entered the chicken house and killed all 12 of them, laying them in a neat line outside the shed.
But whose fault was it that the wood had been allowed to rot to such an extent that the break-in was inevitable?
Interestingly, the fox returned each night and took away two chickens, leaving the tough old cockerel until last!
