POLICE were called to Ladymead Community School on Tuesday afternoon as hundreds of students took to the school field to protest against a cut in their lunch break.
Students pupils climbed on to the sports hall roof to demonstrate and trespassed on neighbouring properties.
The demonstration started at around 1.45pm on Tuesday as around 300 pupils (a third of the students) refused to return to lessons.
They were against a new timetable, which cut their lunchtime by 10 minutes to allow two five-minute breaks at other times in the day to move between lessons and go to the toilet.
