PLANNERS have recommend granting permission for a 733-space multi-storey car park at Taunton's Musgrove Park hospital.
The proposals include a steeped design in a bid to reduce the impact of the building on residents in nearby Hoveland Lane.
A report to the Deane's planning committee says: "The architects have tried to move away from the traditional appearance of a car park, including the use of timber to the main exterior walls above an enclosed stone wall and dark stone grey boarding with full height glazing to the stair towers."
Health chiefs are eager to build the stack to overcome severe parking problems at the hospital.
