A GREEN Party candidate is the latest politician to announce they will contest the Taunton constituency at the next General Election.

Party members adopted Dawn Stephenson, of Milverton as their prospective Parliamentary candidate at a social reception held at Oake Manor Golf Club.

She joins LibDem Jeremy Browne and Labour's Andrew Govier as politicians getting ready to challenge Taunton's sitting Conservative MP, Adrian Flook.

Mrs Stephenson has lived in the area for over 20 years and is well-known as a leading activist and party worker - having been a Green Party local candidate in the last two Taunton Deane Council elections - as well as being a working mum.
