TAUNTON'S Conservative MP has been accused of pulling out of a live TV debate because of fears he might look short stood next to his LibDem opponent.
Adrian Flook was booked for an interview outside Norton Manor Camp on Sunday but withdrew when he found out the BBC's Politics Show had also arranged for LibDem Parliamentary hopeful, Jeremy Browne, to appear.
Instead, the LibDem paid tribute to the "valour, professionalism and the commitment" of 40 Commando alone, while the BBC's Melanie Chiswell explained to viewers that Mr Flook had declined to take part in the interview.
The MP is adamant his non-appearance was down to a matter of principle - not wanting to indulge in party political debate on Remembrance Sunday.
