A TAUNTON actor could be the next man to utter the immortal line "the name's Bond, James Bond" on the big screen.
As revealed in the Somerset County Gazette back in July, James Purefoy is among the actors being considered as Pierce Brosnan's successor in the James Bond films.
The latest odds put him in the top 007 candidates for the job.
The favourites for the role are Scottish actors Ewan McGregor (9/4) and Dougray Scott (9/2), with bookies William Hill listing Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman and Ioan Gruffudd among those nipping at their heels.
