A BEAUTIFUL example of Exmoor woodland is being designated as a National Nature Reserve.
Owned by Exmoor National Park Authority since 1965, Hawkcombe Woods, above Porlock, will receive the accolade from English Nature at a celebratory event on Sunday, November 28.
A free afternoon of activities and fun, organised by the authority together with a number of Porlock community groups, is planned to which everyone is welcome but pre-booking is essential.
