FOUR new jobs will be created in Wellington if plans by builders' merchants Travis Perkins, to take over the former Richardsons vehicle repair shops, are approved.
Travis Perkins has put forward a planning application to turn the workshops at Blackdown Business Park into a builders', timber and plumbers' merchants, where tradesmen can call in and buy, or goods can be delivered.
Andrew Brodie, estate surveyor for Travis Perkins, says in a letter to Taunton Deane Council: "Our operation comprises the storage and distribution of timber, building, plumbing and heating materials and the hire of tools, all of which are principally aimed at the plumbing and building trade as opposed to the retail customer."
