MULLION Ladies were in action twice last week, writes Sharon Moyle.
On Tuesday they played in teams representing the Lady Captain and Lady Vice Captain. This annual singles matchplay event was won by Lady Captain, Gill Bayliss's team.
On Thursday the ladies teamed up with the senior men in the annual EGGS and LEGS greensome competition. Twenty-two pairs took part in the competition and resulted in a win for Gordon Dunnell and Rosie Ellison who returned 44 points.
On Sunday the men at Mullion played a betterball medal competition to decide on the 32 qualifiers to go forward into the fourball match play format for the Gerry Allerton Cup.
In atrocious conditions the qualifiers were headed by Rocky Letford and Andrew Harry who returned a nett score of 66. This pair had double success with the only two of the day earning them 72 golf balls.
