I REMEMBER as a child being taken by my father Billie Moyle, of St Keverne, to see the King Harry Ferry wrecked in a cove near St Keverne. This would have been in the early 1950s. From memory I think that a "new" King Harry ferry was being towed from Penzance to Falmouth but broke away from a tug and foundered on the rocks near Treleaver, in St Keverne parish.
Although I have many photos and newspaper reports of local wrecks, I have never seen any (if one even exists) of the ferry either on the rocks or in Coverack harbour. Is there anyone out there who can help?
