BOTH of Cornwall's teams were in action in the ESMBA Inter County Championship against Somerset on Sunday.
The Premier team travelled to Wincanton and started the match with a much better display of form to be all square on points and only eight shots behind at the interval.
Unfortunately the good form could not be maintained during the afternoon where Cornwall only picked up one win from eight games. The final score was Somerset 26 points 196 shots Cornwall 10 points 132 shots.
The A team, playing at Polkyth Leisure Centre, took an early 5-3 advantage in the first session and shared the second session to leave the scores at 9-7 in Cornwall's favour at the interval.
The third session proved crucial for Cornwall with a clean sweep and a massive 37 shot advantage over the four games. A 5-3 advantage to Cornwall in the final session sealed an excellent win. The final score was Cornwall 26 points 191 shots Somerset 10 points 138 shots
The Inter Area League competition entered its second season on Saturday when teams representing the Cornwall Associations four administrative areas met at Polkyth in a competition based upon the Inter County Championship format.
