TRURO College celebrated it's graduating ceremony at Truro Cathedral.

More than 130 students received their awards which reflected the hard work and dedication of Higher Education students at the college.

The evening began with a welcome from the Right Reverend Roy Screech, the Bishop of St Germans, and proceedings were opened by Ellen Winsor, chairman of the governors at Truro College.

Professor Tunbridge, the dean of faculty of the University Partner Colleges at the University of Plymouth, presented students with awards in a number of different subjects including archaeology, sports science, Certificate in Education and performance.

This year saw the first foundation law students to graduate from Truro College with a foundation degree - all of which were delighted with their accomplishment.

Amongst these awards a number of students also received both principal's and dean's commendations for outstanding work.

The University of Plymouth Colleges bestowed special annual recognition prizes on two high achieving students, Claire Peters and Carolyn Oakley.

Denis Harris was awarded the Education Cup by Professor Michael Beveridge for outstanding achievement on the Certificate of Education course.

After the awards students had the opportunity to "catch up" with friends and lecturers while enjoying a buffet and refreshments.
