IN A West Cornwall Table Tennis League top of the table Premiership clash between St Austell A and Bridge A, Bridge defeated St Austell 4-6 in a closely-contested game to widen the gap at the top of the table.

Also in the Premiership St Ives A succeeded 7-3 against Palace A with youth prevailing as Matthew Trevorrow won all three of his games.

Palace B went down 6-4 to Redruth A whilst Palace C recorded an 8-2 win against St Austell C.

In Division One Falmouth Docks felt the full force of Bride B losing 0-10 whilst Palace D lost to Redruth B. Richard Harries and Karim Ali competed in a finely balanced match with Karim winning in the final end 12-10 to see the match finish 6-4 to Redruth. Meanwhile Mylor A was on the wrong end of a 6-4 defeat at the hands of Godolphin.

Harris Mill C beat opponents Harris Mill D 7-3 to move one point behind Palace F in the Division Two. Mike Burson played up from the third division for Harris Mill D and was unlucky not to gain a win losing out twice in five ends.

Bridge C succeeded against high flyers Palace F 6-4 and Mylor B also lost 6-4 against Cape Cornwall A. Also in Division Two Penryn College A secured their first points of the season, successfully overcoming Mylor Bridge C.

In Division Three Budock Water struggled to have an effect against Redruth C with Redruth recording their second 10-0 win of the season. Bridge D secured a 9-1 home victory against Cape Cornwall C whilst there was also a big win for St Ives D, overcoming Mylor D 8-2.

Peoples Palace G completed the rout against Penryn College C without loss of a single end in a 10-0 win and Palace J were on the right end of an 8-2 triumph against Penryn College B.
