CAMBORNE Bowling Club players have every reason to look happy with themselves because the club's B team is celebrating winning the County B Team Championship.
This was the first occasion that the Camborne club has won this honour, having reached the county semi-final and final playoffs by winning the Western Division title.
In the county semi-final Camborne defeated their near neighbours Redruth B and then went on to defeat Saltash B in the final at Bodmin and thus winning the Mills Trophy.
The C team who were also in the C team finals on the same day were not so fortunate, but finished as county runners-up, still a very creditable performance.
Camborne B - back row: Terry Downing, John Rogers, Godfrey Thomas, Patrick Kemp, Sid Bishop, Nigel Hancock, Treve Hampton. Front: Derek Johns, Ivan Richards, Pat Gibson, Peter Chandler (capt), Jack Hancock, and Robin Dunn.
