CAMBORNE moved to the top of the Southwest Two table after producing a storming finish to come from behind in the final quarter and end Berry Hill's unbeaten start to the season.

In atrocious conditions at the Recreation Group, Jon Moyle was a late replacement at lock for Steve Instance.

A huge first half-defensive effort by "Town" ensured the visitors reached half time only three points in front. Playing up the slope into the wind and rain, number eight Ali Durant made ground time and time again from the back of the scrum with the tireless flanker Kevin Penrose at his elbow.

Hooker Brian Andrews, lock Tristan Wetherelt and centre Adrian Downing all made hard yards as Camborne attacked with ball in hand up the middle.

An 11th minute penalty by full back Andy Reid gave the previous league leaders the advantage, but he fired wide with his only other effort midway through the half.

As the interval neared, the Cherry and Whites twice denied the visiting attackers with try-saving last-ditch tackles in the scoreboard corner by Moyle and scum half Brett Wakfer on the whistle.
